Placing and confirming your order
You can order through our website or contact us to discuss a quotation or bespoke requirements.
Before placing your order, please check the products, selected options, quantities, measurements and delivery details carefully. Contact us first if anything is unclear or you need an adaptation that is not available through the website.
For website orders, acceptance takes place at checkout, and we send an order confirmation by email. For orders arranged directly with us, we confirm the agreed specifications, price and acceptance in writing.
Please review your confirmation and contact us promptly if you notice an error. Any changes requested after acceptance must be agreed with us and may affect the price or estimated dispatch date.
Our Returns & Cancellations policy explains the cancellation rights and arrangements applicable to your order.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. The price of your furniture depends on the size, finish, worktop, fittings and other options selected.
Delivery charges and any other agreed charges will be explained before you place your order. Please see our Delivery & Shipping policy for destinations requiring a separate quotation.
Payment methods and amounts due are shown at checkout or set out in your agreed quotation or invoice. Any deposit or staged-payment arrangement must be agreed with us in writing.
Quotations relate to the products and specifications described in them. If you request changes, we’ll confirm any revised price before you agree to proceed.
Changes to our advertised prices apply to new orders. We will not increase the agreed product price of an accepted order unless you agree to a change.
Checking your furniture specifications
Please check that your chosen furniture’s overall dimensions, layout and fittings are suitable for your bathroom and delivery access. Check whether dimensions refer to the cabinet or include the worktop and any overhang.
Tell us before ordering about any particular requirements, including plumbing positions, restricted spaces or adaptations needed for your basin or taps.
For bespoke adaptations, we’ll confirm the agreed specifications in writing. Where we provide drawings or measurements for approval, please check them carefully and tell us about any errors or required changes before confirming.
We will manufacture your furniture to the agreed specifications. Changes requested after approval may affect the price or estimated dispatch date and may not be possible once work has begun.
If you are relying on our advice about suitability for a particular purpose, please explain that purpose before ordering so we can assess it.
These checks do not remove our responsibility to supply goods that match the agreed description and meet your statutory rights.
Using your own basins, taps or fittings
If you plan to use a basin, tap, waste, handle or other fitting that we are not supplying, please tell us before ordering.
Provide the manufacturer’s technical drawings and installation requirements, including relevant dimensions, fixing positions, clearances and required hole or cut-out sizes. Please check that the information relates to the exact model you intend to use.
We’ll review the information and confirm any agreed adaptations. We may need further details, a template or the physical item before machining or drilling can proceed.
Missing information or changes to your chosen fittings may affect the price or estimated dispatch date. Any additional work or charge must be agreed before we proceed.
Faults within components you purchase elsewhere should normally be raised with their supplier. We remain responsible for carrying out our own work with reasonable care and skill and for any damage for which we are legally responsible.
Natural timber and handmade finishes
Oak is a natural material. Grain patterns, colour, knots and texture vary between boards, so each piece of furniture has its own character.
Product photographs and samples illustrate the general appearance of a design or finish. Your furniture may have natural variations while still matching the agreed description and finish. Colours can also appear different under different lighting or on different screens.
Timber responds to changes in temperature and humidity, and some seasonal movement and gradual colour change can occur. Please follow our care guidance to help protect the wood and finish.
Natural variation does not mean that every crack, split, distortion or finishing issue is acceptable. If you are concerned about your furniture, contact us so we can assess it.
Nothing in this section affects your right to goods of satisfactory quality, matching their description and fit for any purpose agreed with us.
Production and estimated lead times
Our furniture is made to order. Current estimated lead times are shown on our website and product pages or confirmed in your quotation or order correspondence.
Unless stated otherwise, lead times refer to dispatch from our workshop. Please allow additional time for delivery.
We may begin preparation, order materials or commission components shortly after accepting your order. Where we need measurements, technical information or your approval, we’ll explain what is required and any effect on the timetable.
If we expect a delay, we’ll contact you, explain the reason and discuss the revised timing. Any specific deadline expressly agreed with you takes precedence over our general lead-time estimates.
Please avoid booking installation until your furniture has arrived and you have checked it.
This section does not affect your statutory rights if we fail to deliver as agreed.
Delivery and access
Delivery services, charges, destinations and arrangements are explained in our Delivery & Shipping policy and any specific quotation agreed with you.
Our standard furniture delivery is a two-person service to a ground-floor location. First-floor delivery may be possible, but is always at the delivery team’s discretion and depends on safe, practical access. It cannot be guaranteed.
For delivery above the first floor, please contact us before ordering so we can check whether it can be arranged and confirm any additional charge. Services for islands and overseas destinations may differ.
Please check the delivery route and tell us in advance about steps, narrow entrances, restricted parking or other access difficulties.
If an agreed delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available, relevant access restrictions were not disclosed or delivery information was incorrect, reasonable redelivery or storage charges may apply. We’ll explain any applicable charges before arranging another delivery.
Installation and care
Unless expressly included in your quotation, our supply does not include installation or plumbing work. Please use a competent installer and follow the installation instructions supplied with the furniture, basin, taps and other fittings.
Your installer should check the location, plumbing clearances, wall construction and suitability of any fixings before starting work.
Please inspect your goods before installation. If something appears damaged, incorrect or unsuitable, contact us before installing or altering it so we can discuss the issue.
Follow our care guidance to protect the timber and finish. Keep the bathroom suitably ventilated, wipe away standing water promptly and avoid harsh cleaning products.
Damage caused by incorrect installation, unsuitable fixings, misuse or failure to follow reasonable care instructions may not be covered by our guarantee.
This does not exclude our responsibility for our own work or affect your statutory rights concerning the goods we supply.
Cancellations, returns and faulty goods
Our Returns & Cancellations policy explains how to request a cancellation or return, applicable return costs and how refunds are processed.
Goods made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised are exempt from the statutory 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right once your order is accepted. We may commit to materials or work shortly afterwards.
Any cancellation we agree for these goods will take account of reasonable losses directly resulting from the cancellation and costs we can recover or avoid, as explained in that policy.
Statutory cancellation rights apply to standard products purchased online or by telephone where no exemption applies.
Whether goods are bespoke or standard, you retain your statutory rights if they are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet consumer-law requirements.
Our guarantee and after-sales support
Eligible Furnewal furniture comes with our 10-Year Guarantee, subject to the cover, conditions and exclusions set out on our guarantee page.
The furniture guarantee does not cover separately supplied basins, taps, wastes or other accessories. These products may have their own manufacturer’s guarantees.
If you need after-sales support, contact hello@furnewal.com with your order number, a description of the issue and photographs where helpful. We’ll assess the information and explain the next steps.
Our guarantee and any manufacturer’s guarantee are additional to your statutory rights. They do not replace or restrict our legal responsibilities for the goods we supply.
Our responsibility for loss or damage
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence or was something both you and we knew might happen when the contract was made.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Your statutory rights concerning satisfactory quality, fitness for an agreed purpose and goods matching their description remain unaffected.
Where you are entitled to a remedy for faulty goods, we will meet the costs required by law. Depending on the circumstances, these can include necessary removal and refitting costs. Our guarantee conditions do not restrict those statutory rights.
Privacy and our use of Shopify
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information and how you can exercise your data protection rights.
Our online store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes information about your visits and purchases to operate the store and provide enhanced services, including services based on your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify.
Information is shared with Shopify and its service providers, which may operate outside the UK. You can manage consent for optional tracking through Cookie preferences on our website.
For information about Shopify’s own use of your information, read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can also visit the Shopify Privacy Portal to exercise relevant privacy rights.
Complaints and resolving disputes
If you are unhappy with your goods or our service, please email hello@furnewal.com with your order number, details of the problem and the outcome you are seeking.
We’ll review your complaint fairly and respond without undue delay. We may ask for relevant information to help investigate. If we need additional time, we’ll explain why and keep you informed.
If we cannot resolve the complaint, we’ll explain our position in writing. Where an alternative dispute resolution or other complaints arrangement is available through a scheme we are required or agree to participate in, we’ll provide its details and explain how to access it.
Our complaints process does not restrict your right to seek independent advice, use an available payment-provider dispute process or exercise your legal rights.
Applicable law and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
You may bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or any other courts available to you under applicable law. This includes your local courts in Scotland or Northern Ireland where you are entitled to use them.
We may update these terms for future orders. The version in force when we accept your order applies to that order, unless a change is required by law or expressly agreed with you.
An update published on our website does not, by itself, change the terms of an existing order.
